Why aren’t you doubling down on what works?
Recently, I came across a YouTube channel with a good amount of following and engagement. After some digging (since I'm always on the prowl for a potential prospect to pitch) I found out that the Youtuber also has an Instagram account, with equally impressive following and engagement.
What amazed me, is that the video clips he uploaded to Instagram received a much higher viewership than on YouTube.
But, guess what?
He's not consistent with putting out pieces on Instagram. In fact, I'd say he's been lazy about it.
It's no secret that video content on Instagram get much more engagement than photos, even though the platform was built for photos in the first place.
This is just a single example I've encountered over the years. I've seen many cases like this, and it seems that they're either ignorant about it, or simply just don't give a damn.
Either way, it's their funeral, I guess.
